December fills up faster than you'd think and we’re already seeing enquiries for Christmas 2026. Whether you're after a relaxed team lunch, a sit-down dinner for your department or the dining room to yourselves for the evening, we'd love to host you.
Tucked into the village of Butlers Cross, we're an easy drive from Aylesbury, Wendover and the surrounding villages…a proper change of scene from the usual office Christmas setting.

Hire the dining room for your group and we'll set it up to suit the occasion, whether that’s long tables for sit-down, more relaxed arrangements for grazing, or a mix if you want a bit of movement through the evening. The main pub stays open in the front, so your guests still get that proper country-pub atmosphere on arrival.
A festive menu that does the season justice.
Our kitchen will be running a dedicated Christmas menu through December; seasonal, generous and a cut above what you'd expect from a "standard work do" offering. We'll share the menu with you as part of your proposal.
Drinks your way.
Choose from welcome drinks on arrival, bottled wine packages, bar tabs or a fully stocked drinks selection to match your budget. We're happy to talk options.

The earlier you book, the more choice you'll have over dates, menu options and extras. To say thank you for planning ahead, we'll be running an Early Bird offer for Christmas bookings confirmed before October.

Booking, made simple
1. Send us an enquiry. Tell us your date (or a few options), rough numbers and anything you already know you'd like…we'll take it from there.
2. We'll come back to you with a proposal. Menu options, drinks, set-up, timings, costs…all laid out clearly, with room to tweak.
3. Confirm with a deposit. Once you're happy, a small deposit secures the date. The rest is settled closer to the day.
Between enquiry and event, you'll have one point of contact here, so no chasing different people for different questions.

A few things people often ask
How far in advance should I book?
For December, as early as possible, they tend to fill by early autumn but we start getting enquiries around April time. The more flexible you can be on days the better, but our Early Bird offer is there to reward anyone planning ahead.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes, always. We'll ask for dietary requirements when you confirm your guest numbers, and our kitchen will make sure everyone's looked after whether vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies…the lot!
Is there a minimum group size?
Dining room hire works best for groups from around a dozen upwards, get in touch and we'll let you know what's possible for smaller numbers as we cater for festive groups of all sizes
Is there parking?
Yes there is parking on site, let us know how many cars are likely to come and we can advise accordingly.
Can we bring our own entertainment or decorations?
In most cases yes…just mention it in your enquiry and we'll confirm and let you know what we need to accommodate it.
